It’s Simply possible

The USSA Football Team has in the past year been one of those codes that remain the dark horses and ultimately proved that they are just Simply the best.

The 28th Summer Universiade in Gwangju the men team achieved position 6 which was for the very first time that we reached a knock-out stages, with the women team at position 14. The USSA Men team have been consistent ever since as they came into the new year of 2016 and went on to win the SAFA/SAB U-21 Championships in July and went on to defend their Cup at the CUCSA Games that were held in Zimbabwe in August 2016.

There is great hope that USSA Football can do even more better at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei. The USSA Football Championships were cancelled last December due to the volatile situation on our campuses which would have seen a total of 64 Teams from both A & B sections (Men and Women) competing for the ultimate prize of either moving from B to A section or a top 8 Position from the A Section which would have earned you a spot at the annual Varsity Cup which walk away with TUT for both men and women at the end of 2016.

The USSA Football Team will also be having a tough task in replacing the late Coach Sello “Boss Cry” Mokoena who have been part of our National Women’s Team for a period of more than 10 years. This year we will also see our U/21 in a bid to defend their SAFA/SAB trophy within a month a trip to Taiwan for the World Student Games.

As it is simply put, it’s the best of campus football and it is indeed Simply Possible.
