Farewell Ms. Lydia Hall


Cape Town- The USSA NEC has learned with sadness and shock on the passing of Ms. Lydia Hall who has been employed by the University of Cape Town for the past 31 years. Ms. Hall has been a servant of students sports for over three decades and has served in various USSA Committees. Despite being orderd to take it easy by doctors, Lydia was the Chairperson of the Rowing Sprint tournament that was held in Misverstand dam on the 28 March to 02 April 2017, little did we know that was the last tournament that she had to officiate and manage for USSA.

The President of USSA Mrs. IIhaam Groenewald on behalf of the University Sports Movement conveyed her sincere and deepest condolences to the family and friends of Lydia Hall and thanked her for all the sacrifice and service that she had given to University Sport over the last three decades.The memorail service of Ms. Lydia Hall will be held at the University of Cape Town on Friday 19 May 2017 from 14H00 at the Upper Campus Sports Center.
