USSA News Press Release Statement University Sport South Africa (USSA) and the Croatian Academic Sports Federation are excited to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the advancement of student sport development, through trust and in the spirit of friendly and sportsmanship co-operation. In understanding that no organization is an island, the two parties understand the importance of collaboration in the university sport environment to learn and develop from each other. As both organizations celebrate 30 years of dedication to the advancement of university sports, this partnership takes on added significance. The MoU symbolizes not only a milestone in the histories of both USSA and the Croatian Academic Sports Federation but also a new chapter of collaboration that will benefit student-athletes, sport and academic staff, and the broader university communities in both countries. The parties agree to partner and cooperate through joint activities on the development of university sports. The main areas of collaboration will be focused on: 1. Student Event Cooperation - attending at least one (1) university sports event in respected country annually; 2. Academic exchange - Using student sport network as a platform for university cooperation in the field of student and academic staff exchange with the end goal of a dual career; and 3. Transfer of knowledge - organizational capacity building and mutual support in organizing sports events. As USSA and the Croatian Academic Sports Federation embark on this journey together, they are united by a common vision: to elevate university sports to new heights, creating lasting impacts on the lives of student-athletes, sport staff and the academic communities they represent.
