Between the lanes

With the tough task of dealing with wave drag, the 28th Summer Universiade in Gwangju was simply not the year for the USSA Aquatics Team. It has over the past years been evident that any year leading up to the Olympic Games our Aquatics Team has a difficult time between the lanes.

The 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei promises to be a greater platform for the USSA Aquatics Team to yet again rise above its previous challenges. The 2016 Annual Championships did not take place due to the challenges at our Institutions but such will not deter our swimmers for ensuring that they are fully prepared for the 2017 season ahead of us.

Indeed, a plan between USSA Aquatics and Swimming South Africa has to be put in motion beyond Taipei as we look forward to 2019 In Napoli for the 30th Summer Universiade to ensure consistency from our swimmers who at all times poses a greater chances of returning with medals at World Stage.
